💡 Tip: For an official user guide from Instagram, feel free to visit their articles: How can I hide or unhide like and view counts on Instagram? or About Like Counts for Businesses on Instagram.
With Instagram providing creators an option to hide their post Likes, CreatorIQ has updated the platform to address how this new change affects post metrics. Follow along to see how these updates are reflected in Creator Profiles and One-Sheets!
Note: Hidden Likes indicator will appear for non-authenticated Instagram Business accounts in your CRM, and Instagram business accounts in Discovery.
Creator Profiles
A icon will appear next to the creator's name and Instagram handle for creators who have enabled the Hidden Likes within Instagram.
Along with the icon appearing next to the creator's name and handle, it will display throughout the creator's profile where the Hidden Likes feature affects metrics – including their Recent Posts and Key Metrics views for the Engagement Rates and Likes Per Posts metrics.
Recent Posts (modal view)
Key Metrics (modal view)
When the range for calculation's time / post period (e.g. 30 days, 60 days, 90 days, or last 20 posts) includes a post with Hidden Likes, the icon will appear to notify users the creator has turned on this feature within Instagram.
Note: Posts with Hidden Likes will not be used when calculating the Engagement Rate, Engagement, and Average Likes metrics. You can hover over the icon to confirm the creator has Hidden Likes for the calculated time / post period.
Social Timeline
The Hidden Likes icon will also appear in a creator's Social Timeline.
Where Likes (or icon) shows no value (–) hover over the Likes icon to confirm posts are hidden.
One-Sheets
Similar to the Social Timelines view, in One-Sheets and the Creator's One-Sheets Profile tab, there will be a (–) next to the Likes icon (or icon). This indicates that the creator has hidden their Likes for that particular post.
