If the campaign you're participating in requires your collaborator to manage an ad – or dark post – under your Facebook and Instagram account(s), this guide can help you get started!
Tip: Ad Permissions: Creator Video Guide shows Creator Promote in action!
Creator Promote can be found under the Link Account's Ad Permissions section.
Creator Promote, or Ad Permissions, is a seamless way to provide restrictive access to your account so the brand/agency you're collaborating with can post an ad on your behalf.
The type of ad your collaborator will create is called a dark post. Dark posts will not appear in your feed; instead, they'll be shown to a targeted audience through Facebook Ads.
Authentication is different than Creator Promote or Ad Permissions.
- Creator Promote is specific to Dark Posts or ads; connecting your account will give the brand/agency limited permissions through their Meta Ads Manager account.
- Authentication focuses on pulling your content and real-time metrics on campaigns you're participating with.
Benefits
Below are some positive reasons to connect your account through your Link Account's Ad Permissions!
-
Bigger audience
There's a higher chance of receiving more engagements and followers because dark post ads reach a bigger audience through Facebook Ads.
-
More opportunities
Potentially unlock additional opportunities with the brand or agency you're working with!
-
Privacy, security, and trustworthiness
By connecting your account, the brand/agency cannot see past the provided ad permissions and vice versa.
Warning: The Creator Promote prerequisites are similar to Authenticating your Instagram and Facebook accounts. To ensure your collaborator receives access through their Meta Ads Manager account, click (or Connect with Facebook) under your Link Account's Ad Permissions section.
