How is engagement rate calculated?
Engagement rate is calculated as (Sum of Engagements from all posts) / (Sum of Followers at Time of Post for All Posts). One can interchange “followers” in denominator for impressions, reach, or views, which configurable in the Network settings. See explanation on how engagement rate is calculated for each platform.
Why is Engagement Rate displaying "N/A?"
There are a few reasons why the engagement rate is displaying N/A. If a creator has not posted in the last 30, 60, or 90 days (depending on your selection in Network Settings), the engagement rate would appear as “N/A” with a footnote indicating they haven’t posted in that time. Other reasons include the Instagram account is private, deactivated, or suspended, in which case we would not be able to pull posts.
What posts is this engagement rate based on for Instagram?
For business accounts, it is based on posts in the time period selected. For non-business accounts, it is based on the most recent posts the creator posted within the given timeframe.
How recently is this updated?
Key metrics for the creators in your network are updated twice daily. You can get the most recent data by refreshing the posts on the profile.
How easy is it to become a business account?
In one click of a button, a creator can make their Instagram account a business account. They would need to link it to a business Facebook profile.
