A new segment starts every time a streamer changes the title of their stream or the game they are playing.
Yes! Discovery includes creators who have more than 2.5k followers and streamed since 2022. For any streamers with less than 2.5k followers, you can manually add them in via their URL in the search bar.
Note: We limit what surfaces in Discvery to a minimum of 2.5k followers to avoid the noise of smaller creators. However, we do still have this data!
Nope! Streamers no longer have to authenticate their Twitch accounts to capture their data/metrics.
If the creator doesn't create a VOD (or Video on Demand) after a stream, the default image of the game/category will appear as their preview.
Metrics
Chatters, or chat messages, aren't supported at this time. However, this data can be manually added in if your team has access to this data!
Note: In Campaigns, clicking Get Latest Post will not populate Twitch data.
Twitch metrics are updated differently than other social platforms. Instead, Twitch metrics get updated once a day or every 24 hours.
Yes! When one streamer raids another, the metrics are accounted for in their peak concurrent views.
Yes! The creator must add "drops" to their stream title. This will capture how many viewers are there for in-game loot.
Miscellaneous
We are sourcing this gaming information through Gamesight.
While we only support Twitch, we're monitoring other streaming platforms − including Kick and YouTube. We do not plan to support Facebook Gaming at this time, however.
A stream is content being recorded live or in real-time. On the other hand, videos are previously streamed content that was live on Twitch. Viewers can go back to these videos if they missed the stream.
